The people behind the wiring
A small group of automotive enthusiasts who give cars in disrepair the second life they deserve.
Our story
Ranch Racing is a small group of automotive enthusiasts who started building race-grade electronics and the wiring harnesses to back them in 2025, whether what we're wiring is unmanned or we're riding in it ourselves. The first project out the door was a combination shift-light and exhaust flame shooter for a Pontiac Fiero, and we've been fixing and improving cars in disrepair — giving them the second life they deserve — ever since. We've only gone up from there.
The founder
Ranch Racing is led by Randal McDowell, who's been building wire harnesses for race cars and adjacent projects for over ten years — from FIRST Robotics, to Formula SAE, to F600 and other personal builds. Electronics and wiring have been the specialty from day one, and when it comes to making anything at Ranch Racing, the only acceptable stopping point is perfection: finding and solving the real issue instead of just the symptom, and extracting every ounce of performance without sacrificing reliability.
What we do
We specialize in low-volume electronics, along with the harnessing and software to match, tailored to your application. The goal on every job is a drop-in installation.
